Killotteran, Co. Waterford

Private Dwelling

A most unusual project that involved the construction of a new extension to a privately owned church, that had previously been converted for use as a family house. Due to the nature of the existing structure there were both archeological and conservation restrictions that had to be rigidly adhered to.

The junction between the old and the new had to be constructed without altering the original structure. This was achieved by the use of a raft foundation and planar glazing.
